Pizza Stop Menu

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

One of the best places the 20906 has to offer. The staff is very friendly and the pizza is delicious!!!

Best Italian cold cut sub in the area! Seriously. We crave it often.

Best pizza I have had in the area so far! The closest thing to Nj/Ny pizza...not quiet there. Good service and value!

Eww luke warm cheese...on pizza! After reading the reviews, I thought hey I'll give it a shot. We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and green peppers and mozzarella sticks, they said 15 min. We hoped in the car and drove the 2.8 miles to the Pizza Stop. The parking lot was packed, I thought good sign. Then I saw a bunch of characters (people) milling around by the door. I mean I guess it's a bar and you can't smoke inside, but this place is located in a strip mall so it's weird to have a bank on the strip and then this place with half hazzard dudes with beers and cigs hanging out. But again, I was like its Aspen Hill what did you want. So grabbed the pizza and sticks and drove the 2.8 miles back to the house. I was disappointed at just the sight of these pizza. It looks like it was cooked a few hours ago and left on a counter. But being starved and thinking well it's pizza how bad could it be. I took a bite, and that one bite confirmed my suspensions about this pizza that lay in front me. Cold and not that good. It reminded me of cold chucky cheese pizza or school pizza. The mozzarella sticks were ok, but not enough to ever get me back to this place. Avoid if you can! If you can't you might as well just cook cause even the worst fresh meal would be better.

Pizza Stop is our family's preferred local pizza and place and has been our go to for many a hurried evening dinner. I can't comment on much except for the pizza and the staff, but both of those are top notch. My wife and I really love their white pizza and our friends have enjoyed just about any combination that we've ever ordered. The staff is led by the long time owner, Iris, and it very much feels like a family operation that values their customers.

stopped by for lunch today with my daughter and her friend, and we walked away happy and satisfied. my daughter and her friend each ordered a slice of cheese pizza, and kids can be quite picky. but they enjoyed the pizza, and my daughter said it's the best pizza she's ever eaten. my "pizza stop" special of a sub with turkey, roast beef, corned beef, ham, provolone, salami and dressing was delicious. a daily lunch special involves most of the subs, fries and a drink for $8.99. our server was quick and courteous. i'll definitely return to try other items on the menu.

We had Pizza Stop delivered for the first time tonight, and it was OK. Certainly better than the chain pizza delivery joints, but not as good as the pizza you would get at a decent sit-down place, like Mamma Lucia, My main complaint was that the pizza was uneven - half of it was very thin and the other half was much thicker, so I can't really get a beat on whether their pizza is normally thin or thick. But it's worth a second shot.

It is a dump but the service is great and the pizza is much better than Sole D' Itila. If you are out for a pizza in this neighbourhood, get it here. I loved the crust and the hole pizza was one of the better ones I have had.

An excellent cheap neighborhood pizza, pasta, and sandwich place. Everything was freshly made, using very good ingredients. My calzone (they called it a stromboli) was extremely good, and my wife's eggplant parmagiana on spaghetti was also very good. In fact, my wife called the calzone the best she had ever had, and kept ignoring her (by her judgement) excellent dish in favor of picking at my food. The waiter was polite and friendly and offered decent service and the prices are perfect, better than most delivery chains. The only reason that this isn't a five star review is that the place is a complete dump. Glaring fluorescent lights, cheap tables and chairs, no booths, the whole nine yards. It looks closer to a laundromat than a pizza place. We almost didn't go there because of it.

You can make better pizza if you get the frozen kind and bake it at home. I was unimpressed. I guess I've had a lot of good pizza. I ordered the plain cheese, so not sure about the others. They did not have the a.c turned on when they clearly should have, Ceiling fans just pushing hot air around. The best thing about this place is the service. Friendly and attentive.

We were working on a project in the area and took a break to have lunch at Pizza Stop. The dining area is fairly small with booths on one side and tables on the other. When you enter there is a counter where people give their take-out orders. But if you are eating in, there is full wait service. The restaurant is apparently family owned and a pleasant lady, who appeared to be an owner, came out a few times to greet customers. There seemed to be a lot of regular customers. There was a steady stream people picking carry-out orders, even though it was late in the lunch hour. Granddaughter and I shared a medium pizza and ordered 2 sodas and a water bottle and our bill was just under $14.00, a great bargain. The pizza was thin crust with a nice tomato sauce and plenty of cheese. My granddaughter loved it! I thought it was good but just a tad greasy. Still I would order it again, though the subs and fries looked delicious and I'm looking forward to trying some of them. For such a small, casual restaurant they have beer and wine available, even beer on-tap. The lady at the table next to us ordered a glass of wine and it was a nice pour. I was jealous but stuck to soda since we still had work to do after lunch. I'm looking forward to going back to Pizza Stop to try some more of the menu choices, and next time enjoy a glass of wine.

Best pizza in the area for sure. This cute little spot is mom and pop owned since it opened over 25 years ago and their recipes have not changed since. The white pizza is amazing. And their cheese and pepperoni are great too. I always stop by when I am in the area. They deliver too! Only down is it is like $30 for 2 pizzas but I love to support local business and good food.

Warning--harsh but accurate review: Menu was not as listed on yelp. Basic sub and pizza shop. Unimpressive service and restaurant area. Did not seem busy during 6-7:30 on a Thurs (yeah, it took 1.5 hours to get subs and pizza served). No attention from server re our drinks or much else for that matter. Worst pizza I can remember since the 90s. Go somewhere, anywhere, else.

Actually came here twice in two days a couple weeks ago. Both for lunch. The first time, my gf and I split a pepperoni and sausage pizza and eggplant fries. The pizza was a good pizza, nothing extravagant. The eggplant fries were awesome!!! Highly recommend those. The next day we went with my dad and stepmom to get some gyros. They were pretty good and had a good amount of meat on them. Everything is pretty cheap, so I think it was well worth it.

One of my old school favorites. Nice local family run and operated love the owners All the food is good and reasonably priced and good for a quick bite to eat. The Super Bird is the Bomb I probaly get it 90% of the time. They have Keno also

My all time favorite place since I can remember growing up. Pizza and wings are the best in my opinion. Grew up knowing and meeting the family that owns this place. Great service!!!

  • E H.

As far as entrants in the 'cheap pizza' category go, this is a pretty solid entry. The crust is thin but firm and crunchy (not overly doughy like dominos or something). Maybe it was just our pizza but the amount of topping on the pizza was a little on the stingy side. So: solid choice but I would give an edge to the pizza at Stained Glass Pub.

  • Caitlin L.

This is one of the greatest hangout places for me and my friends. The service is great and the pizza is amazing. We always take our time when we're here, never rushed. Our meals usually consist of an order or two of fries to share, maybe some mozzarella sticks, and pizza. We've never been disappointed before. I love this place! It's a little place and is a little run down, but was recently repainted and looks more lively than before.

My son has gotten a cheese pizza from this place every Friday night for the last 4-5 years -and he never tires of it!! :-D This great little mom and pop shop focuses mainly on great pizzas (my personal favorite is the chicken fajita -with extra jalapeños).

I am currently on a mission to find the best pizza offering in Montgomery County. I have found a few gems. This is not one of them. I got a large cheese pizza and wings. The pizza crust is a frozen crust they probably bought from a supplier and I almost think the whole pizza came to the place frozen and was just heated up. The wings were ok. Not sauced but I like dry wings. The staff was nice enough. I won't be going here again.. There aren't many great options for pizza in Maryland. however this may be the worst place I have been to yet. Buyer beware.

  • Phi N.

Got the cheese fries, chicken tenders and buffalo wings. I know, healthy, right?? I think the regular fries were prob better... Chicken tenders were awesome, and I liked the honey mustard it came with too (Not too mustard-y... that a word? lol). Wings were okay, crispy, not enough sauce/flavor though.

  • Melissa K.

This pizza doesn't disappoint! I ordered a white pizza with bacon, and you could see that they use fresh herbs and full slices of real bacon. True NY style with the thinner crust. I will recommend this place to everyone in the area. Plus, they deliver :)

Since we discovered Pizza Stop three years ago, it's been our go-to pizza joint. Great pizza with tasty tomato sauce, which is a big deal for me. The buffalo wings are rock in' too. Crispy but juicy, and definitely full of meat and doused in spicy buffalo sauce.

First of all I want to state that I used a Groupon for the behemoth of a meal I got from here. However, although I did not pay "full" price for my meal, I would gladly shell down full price to eat here. Not that it is an expensive place. After looking at their menu extensively tons of items are worth it. On to my meal. I ordered the Pizza Stop special which is just a ton of different meats in a large sub with more meat and some more meat in case the meat inside was just not enough meat. It was awesome! I had a side of cheesy garlic bread which was the worst part of my order. They were good, but actually the day after when I reheated the bread it was better than the night before when I made my order. This is actually why I did not give them a perfect score. The last thing I ordered was the pulled pork BBQ sandwich with coleslaw. I had high hopes for this sandwich and it was good, but not what I expected. Not bad, but not the earth shattering mmgasmic experience I thought it would be. All in all nice place to grab some food. I got carry out so I have no idea about anything inside.

  • Sierra G.

This place looks like your average cheap pizza place and at first taste that's what it seems like. However, what really sets this place apart is the wonderful staff. I asked them to make a specialty chicken caesar pizza I haven't been able to get anywhere else. Not only did they cheerfully make my weird pizza, they didn't charge me any extra. I'm adding this to my short list of regular lunch stops.

I only gave this 3 stars because I went here twice and had to take the average of the two visits. I'll start off with the first good visit: 5 Stars! Our server was young and she was friendly. She was from Towson or something. She was attentive and served us like we were friends! It was great and the food was great. I made sure to tip her well. That was that! I went there again because the first time was so good and this will be the last time I go here! This time it was 1 star (0 stars if I could). The server was some Caucasian older, middle age woman. Our party was not Caucasian so that is why I feel we did not get treated well. We did not get seated and it took her 10 minutes to get us water and take our order. It took another 12 minutes to get our food. She seemed to not like us at all. Did not say two words to us and made it seem that she salivated in our food. I made sure not to tip her so that she would get the message. She should be fired honestly. If she is, I will come here again. The gal from Towson/Baltimore should honestly be manager or something, she was great! If she owned and ran this place, I'd come here all the time.

I've lived 5 minutes away from this place all my life and I only discovered it a few years ago! Pizza Stop is tucked into Plaza Del Mercado next to Baskin Robbins. This isn't the best pizza place in town, but it has what I need: pizza, fries...and gyros! I was always a little insecure about my pronunciation of the word gyro, and I raised my eyebrows when the only pronunciation that Pizza Stop knows of this word is the incorrect "JI RO." Which is to say this isn't necessarily a Greek place, but the gyro is not bad! I like it a lot! So if you live in the area, add one more pizza place to your options.

My coworkers and I have a 'Thursday Take Out Lunch' day and this is where we get it from. They deliver and have a pretty diverse menu so it seems to satisfy everyone ordering. They've got strombolis, subs, pizza, sandwiches, wraps, salads and I'm sure a few other things. I usually get a Super Bird which is a hot turkey, cheese and bacon sandwich that comes with fries. For the other sandwiches, the fries are separate, so it's not a bad little combo. It's tasty, nice sized and just a good lunch option. The chicken cheesesteak is not bad either. So it's called Pizza Stop for a reason and I'm guessing that pizza is supposed to be their specialty. I don't know what others got, but I will definitely vouch for their white pizza w/ spinach and ricotta. It is a new favorite of mine that is giving the Super Bird a run for it's money. The spinach is fresh, big leaves and the cheese combo is garlicky and tasty. Can't wait for next Thursday!
